San Antonio (Bexar County) provides convenient options for residents to dispose of hazardous materials such as paints, vehicle liquids (oil, gas), oil filters, pesticides, chlorine, batteries, etc. with a first of the month weekend event. Every first Friday and Saturday from 8a-12p at the Bitters Recycling Center, residents can take their trash needing to be disposed of that is not allowed in the neighborhood bins. San Antonio also holds a MedDrop event twice a year for medicines that have gone unused, left over and expired for proper disposal.
